Christmas Lights 2017

The Christmas lights were switched on in Bletchley and Fenny Stratford on Saturday 2 December 2017 by Cllr Angela Kennedy, Chair of Bletchley and Fenny Stratford Town Council.  In a change from previous years the council decided to switch on the lights during Saturday trading in the town centre so as to encourage additional market stalls to Queensway.    During the day children from the Premier Academy provided entertainment from the bandstand by previewing songs from their Christmas production. Richard Allman of Matrix Disco also provided festive cheer with Christmas songs and commentary.  Thanks to them and to all those involved especially our lighting contractors who have helped us to update our scheme and improve the illumination infrastructure, also the Milton Keynes Council for giving us permission to use their lamp columns and trees.
