Bletchley War Memorial

Bletchley and Fenny Stratford Town Council has recently taken on responsibility for maintenance of the War Memorial in Queensway and you may have noticed that it has been professionally cleaned by a specialist contractor.

 On Saturday 26th May the Memorial received more care and attention to both the borders and planting. This work was kindly undertaken voluntarily by local Freemasons in the community. BFSTC Chair, Angela Kennedy and Vice-Chair, Richard Graham visited the volunteers at work to thank them for their time and efforts.

The War Memorial will be undergoing further improvements including work to restore the gate which has been temporarily 

Photo of Volunteer planting greenery around the War Memorialremoved and we hope to have the memorial in prime condition for a fitting commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the 1918 armistice in November this year. 





 This project is a work in progress and represents the council’s commitment to work in partnership with local community groups and we would like to thank the Freemasons for their work.
