Repair and maintenance work on Fenny Chapel

Published: 14 September 2018

Bletchley and Fenny Stratford Town Council is pleased to confirm that significant repair and maintenance work has started on the chapel building at Manor Road Cemetery in Fenny Stratford. Although the chapel has not been used for funeral services for many years it is a well-loved local building and forms an important part of our community’s history.

The repairs, which are costing over £30,000, will improve the current condition of the chapel and prevent further deterioration to the fabric of the building. The work will take place in two phases beginning with works to the interior which are expected to be completed within a month. The secondary phase involves repairs to the exterior of the building and this phase should be completed before the end of the calendar year.

Our contractors Furlong and Higgs Ltd are making every effort to ensure that the repair work causes as little inconvenience as possible but if you have any concerns please contact the Town Council on 01908 649469.
