Thank you for joining us at our Community Litter Pick on 28 September

Published: 02 October 2018

We held a community litter pick in Water Eaton in the morning and in Newton Leys in the afternoon on Friday 28 September.

Councillor Haine, two residents (Brian and Roger from Water Eaton) and BFSTC staff (Mika, Adrian and Andrew) attended the morning session. We spent the first one hour at Hunter Drive, George Lane and Bettina Grove through the woods. BFSTC staff then spent the last one hour on Water Eaton Road, Westfield Drive and along the canal.

For the afternoon session, Mika and Adrian tackled litter around Newton Leys Community Centre, along the lake through the woods and on St Helena Avenue towards the main road.

Thank you so much all for helping us at the event. Special thanks also go to Lynn and other very friendly residents at Leisure Together who shared their lovely cake and tea with us at the end of our afternoon session.

We are hoping to run more community litter picks in the near future.
