"Home Bargains" Planning appeal refused (55 - 65 Queensway, Bletchley)

The original planning application included proposed demolition of existing buildings on the site and then the construction of 48 residential units and six ground floor commercial units. It was turned down by MK Council's Development Control Committee in 2019.

The Town Council, along with local businesses and MKC Councillors, objected to the plans. The community had expressed concerns about inadequate parking provision for the number of new dwellings and safety concerns around access to the site and vehicles reversing onto Calkwell Way. There were also worries about the potential loss of the popular Home Bargains store on Queensway
