A421 weekend closures

Please be aware that the A421 between the Eagle Farm Roundabout up to M1 Junction 13 will be closed temporarily this weekend on both sides, from 8pm on Friday 4th September until 6am on Monday 7th September (or earlier if the works are completed sooner).

This closure is needed to allow the removal of the temporary utility bridge and undertake other works including carriageway surfacing and road markings. The Cranfield Road Bridge will then be open to the public.

The road will also be closed from Friday 11th September at 8pm until 6am on Monday 14th September (or earlier if the works are completed sooner). This closure will allow works to take place under where the temporary bridge was located together with more resurfacing works, safety barrier works and road markings.

The M1 will be open as usual or for a non-motorway route, please use the A422 signed diversion.

Please also note that whilst the M1 is open, on Friday evening Highways England will close the slip roads at Junction 14.

You can find out more, including more information on diversion routes, on Central Bedfordshire Council's website and on Milton Keynes Council's website.
