Alcohol PSPO Public Consultation by Milton Keynes Council

Milton Keynes Council are considering extending and varying the Alcohol Public Space Protection Order (PSPO). The current Designated Public Place Orders are due to expire in October 2021 and Milton Keynes Council would like to vary the Order to include the whole of Bletchley.

Across the Borough of Milton Keynes there are a number of parishes that have alcohol PSPOs. Regulations are in place to restrict alcohol consumption in those areas, with the aim to reduce or deter anti-social behaviour. The PSPO is not a ban on drinking in public places, but is in place to tackle anti-social behaviour connected with drinking alcohol. The PSPO will not affect licensed premises.

A Public Consultation is now open so you can share your views and respond if you have any concerns or have had experience of street drinking. Find out more and respond to the PSPO online consultation. The consultation will be open until 12th August 2021.

Please get in contact with the Community Safety Team if you have any questions. You can contact their Community Safety Team by calling 01908 691691 or by emailing: PSPO@milton-keynes.gov.uk
