Please be aware that from 08.30am to 10.30am on Sunday 13th November, Queensway, from its junction with Princes Way to its junction with Victoria Road, will be closed to allow the town council's wreath laying ceremony to take place. The alternative route will be via Princes Way, Tavistock Street, North Street, Victoria Road and vice versa.
The town council's wreath laying ceremony will be taking place on Remembrance Sunday, 13th November 2022. Starting at 9am, there will be a Silent Community Walk from Elizabeth Square in Queensway. On arrival at the Queensway War Memorial, the wreath laying ceremony will commence led by Revd. Edson Dube. As took place last year, the ceremony will be livestreamed and available to watch on our Facebook page.
