Working to make Bletchley and Fenny Stratford dementia friendly

Bletchley and Fenny Stratford Town Council Officers recently took part in a Dementia Friends Awareness training session, gaining individual Dementia Friend badges. Dementia Friends, an initiative by Alzheimer’s Society, are working in partnership with Milton Keynes Council to work towards all areas in Milton Keynes becoming dementia friendly.

There are currently 850,000 people living with dementia in the UK and by 2025 this will increase to 1 million people living with dementia. The Town Council will be working with Dementia Friends going forward to help increase awareness about dementia and the small things we can all do that will make a difference to our local community.

Find out how you can become a Dementia Friend and more information on the Dementia Friends website.
