Celebrating The Big Help Out

Photo of group of people with litter picking equipment

The Coronation Big Help Out provided an opportunity for the community to give something back by volunteering over the Coronation weekend. Charitable organisations and local clubs require volunteering to enable services to be delivered to those who need it, whenever they are required.

Bletchley and Fenny Stratford Town Council provided funding to recognise those children and young adults that offered their time and help by rewarding them with unique mementos for the Coronation weekend.

The town really embraced this opportunity and made a real difference to the community. These included:

  • Helping to set up and clear up after events at Water Eaton Church Centre (Jenna Stephens, John Williams)
  • Litter picking before the WERA Residents Street Party (4 willing volunteers)
  • St Marys Church Dream Factory, MK Museum, Coronation picnic and litter pick (Alf and Faith Burton)
  • Litter pick around St Marys church and surrounding area (Deleuze family)
  • St Marys Kids Club , Coronation picnic , face painting, litter pick and help with the events (Jasmine, Connor and Ashleigh Brooks)There are few more mementos awaiting anyone who has helped over the weekend or leading up , please contact us.

Well done to all those who participated.
